Shruti Bhargava

I was born in India on 22nd June, 1992. After graduating from University of Delhi, India with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology, I completed my Master of Science in Animal Biotechnology from University of Hyderabad, India and did a research project on the preventive role of Peritrophin proteins during malarial infection. I like reading, painting and adventure sports, though travelling supersedes all other hobbies.

I am an early stage researcher at the Institute for Molecular and Cardiovascular Research at the Aachen University Hospital. My PhD research, being carried out under the guidance of Prof. Joachim Jankowski, is focused on characterization of the recently identified Calcification blocking factor and isolation of unknown mediators inhibiting calcification processes.
